Steven Guttentag is a Venture Partner in the Education Practice of RIDGE-LANE LP.

Dr. Guttentag most recently served as the Managing Director and President of Pearson Online & Blended Learning K–12, where he navigated the organization through an evolving marketplace, including a rebrand to Pearson Online & Blended Learning K–12; spearheaded diversification of business lines; and implemented new processes and functions to support the company’s continued growth.

Dr. Guttentag was part of the founding team of Connections Academy and crafted the company’s initial business strategy and product design, and helped build the business from four employees and zero customers to a global leader in K–12 virtual learning.

Dr. Guttentag has a B.A. from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
