Teri M. Takai is Chair of the State CIO Council at RIDGE-LANE LP.

Ms. Takai served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as Assistant Secretary, Networks and Information Integration – U.S. Department of Defense, where she spearheaded efforts to consolidate technology infrastructure and create a cybersecurity workforce strategy at the federal government’s largest agency.

Previously, she served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the State of California, as a member of the Governor cabinet.

Prior to, she was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director, Department of Information Technology – State of Michigan.

Mrs. Takai received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master's in Management, from the University of Michigan.  She serves on the Board of Directors for FirstNet, and Director of the Center for Digital Government.
