Tom Kambouras is a Venture Partner in the Education Practice of RIDGE-LANE LP.

Mr. Kambouras served as Chief Technology Officer, New York City Department of Education.  He was responsible for strategic planning, coordination and IT operations for the largest school system in the country, leading a diverse group of over 400 senior IT leaders, supporting the learning environments for over 1.1M children and 140,000 educators and administrative staff.

Tom had direct and oversee the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and purchasing for all infrastructure and IT security services, responsible for the departments overall evaluation of new technology infrastructure, architecture and standards and identifying opportunities for efficiencies, where he developed a framework for engaging with vendor partners on providing collaborative tools to be utilized and leveraged in the classroom.
