Gen. Dale Meyerrose
General Dale W. Meyerrose is a Partner in the Technology Practice of RIDGE-LANE LP.
Gen. Meyerrose was the first President-appointed, U.S. Senate-confirmed, Chief Information Officer for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). He managed all information technology infrastructure and enterprise requirements of the U.S. Intelligence Community, including the procurement of all information technology, enterprise architectures, research and development, information sharing strategy and policy.
While on military active duty, he served as Chief Information Officer of three major U.S. commands. He was the Director of Command Control Systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, during 9/11, helping to safeguard the air sovereignty of North America. He subsequently became the first Chief Information Officer for U.S. Northern Command, the first modern U.S. military command responsible for homeland defense.
Post-public service, Dr. Meyerrose was a Corporate Vice President of Harris Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, where he led all aspects of strategy, business development and program execution for cyber growth initiatives across the corporation, participating in multiple merger and acquisition activities. He started a new line of business, to include building an award winning next-generation cyber/data center and first-in-kind, trusted enterprise cloud and cybersecurity offerings.
In addition to his highly-decorated military career, Dr. Meyerrose won numerous professional awards including the International Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Person of the Year, the Executive CIO Top 10 Leaders and Innovators Public Service Award for excellence in public leadership, and “The Federal 100” by Federal Computer Weekly. He was also recognized by Government Computer News for Outstanding Information Technology Achievement in Government. Dr. Meyerrose has been inducted into four Halls of Fame and honored with nine lifetime achievement awards by various professional associations.
Gen. Meyerrose graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, the University of Utah with a Master in Business Administration, and a Doctorate of Professional Studies in Information Management from Syracuse University. He graduated from the National War College and executive programs at National Defense University in Washington, DC, Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, University of California at Berkley Haas School of Business, and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science with the Institute for Software Research, where he runs a cybersecurity leadership certificate-awarding program. He is a Trustee and the Treasurer for the U.S. Air Force Academy Falcon Foundation.
