The Hon. Michael C. Camuñez is a Venture Partner of RIDGE-LANE LP.

Mr. Camuñez served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce at the International Trade Administration, one of the nation’s leading commercial diplomats, managing a global portfolio to open new markets for U.S. goods and services, where he worked with more than 30 countries to advance U.S. trade, improve economic policy, expand market access for industry, as well as enhance cross-border trade and investment.

He was the chief architect of the U.S.-Mexico High Level Economic Dialogue, appointed as the President’s representative on international economic issues to the U.S. Helsinki Commission to manage the economic dimension of U.S. engagement with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and served for two years as Special Counsel to the President in the Office of the White House Counsel, as well as Special Assistant to the President.

Mr. Camuñez is a former equity partner of the global law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP, a graduate of Harvard College and Stanford Law School. He serves on the Board of Directors for Edison International, Southern California Edison, and the American Funds - Capital Group. He is a Trustee of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and a member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees.
