Patrick Moore

State CIO Board


Patrick Moore is an Executive Member of the State CIO Board at RIDGE-LANE LP.

Mr. Moore served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the State of Georgia, under Governor Sonny Perdue. He also served as deputy chief of staff and deputy chief operating officer State of Georgia, focused on improving government service delivery and a goal of making Georgia the best managed state in the nation. He led the successful turnaround of the Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) through a transformational consolidation and outsourcing strategy.

He was responsible for the state’s $250 million project portfolio and played a lead role in the successful implementation of significant state of IT projects, enabling the state to build a modern, secure, reliable and cost-effective technology infrastructure by taking advantage of a technology vendor marketplace that offers both efficiencies and cost-savings to provide better value for taxpayers.

Mr. Moore held leadership positions at Hewlett Packard, responsible for leading large cross functional business development teams, developing bid and negotiations strategies, and innovative consulting approaches. He played a leading role in HP’s response to some of the largest strategic technology procurements in state government by aligning the private sector solution with the government service mission and the public citizen benefit.

He was recognized by the Center for Digital Government for his adaptive leadership during times of significant fiscal stress and was named one of the nations “Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers.” Mr. Moore received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
