Teri Takai is a Venture Partner in the Technology practice of RIDGE-LANE LP.
Ms. Takai served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the United States Department of Defense, where she spearheaded efforts to consolidate technology infrastructure and create a cybersecurity workforce strategy at the federal government’s largest agency.
She previously served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the State of California, as a member of the Governor cabinet. Prior to, she was the Director of the Michigan Department of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the State of Michigan.
Takai received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master's in Management, from the University of Michigan. She serves on the Board of Directors for FirstNet, a national first-responders network, and as Executive Director of the Center for Digital Government, a national research institute on IT policy and best practices for state and local governments.
